JULY 10th RESULTS
A funny thing seems to happen when you through double payouts at a class.  Bikes
come out of the woodwork to race for it!  A class record 36 bikes tossed their helmets in
the ring to run for the cash, 1000 large to the winner.  As the rounds whittled down the
competition, some names from seasons past emerged along with class power houses.
Series veteran Joe Banse would lead them all into first round as No. 1 qualifier.
TOP TEN QUALIFIERS
By round three it was a "who's Who" in
this class that were still in the race.  Dennis
Bailey drove around James Hendricks to
move on running a 9.515.  Scott Parker
would send Danny Helms packing in a
double breakout run.  Brent Merrick ended
Joe Banse's day.  Larry Sargis would stop
Andy Hendricks who was pushed out the
back door on a holeshot by Sargis.  The
return of Bob Dougherty to our series also
stuck a stick in the spokes of Nelson Taylor
ending his day in Super Stock.

Sorry for no times being listed, the
sheet was not available from tower.
The fourth round brought the level of competition up another notch as the big money
round loomed closer.  Dennis Bailey was on a laddered bye run and clicked off a nice 9.59
to move to the semi's.  Larry Sargis took an .058 to .077 lead over Brent Merrick and would
push Merrick's Busa into a breakout pass.  Sargis ran a 9.52 to Merrick's 9.46.  Bob
Dougherty then took out another series vet, Scott Parker who was going rounds on his "old
School" Kaw.  Dougherty  cuts a sweet .051 to Parkers game .075.  Parker's bike falters
down track and Dougherty nearly breaks out running a 9.52 to Parkers ailing 11.26.
Almost a Homer Simpson moment there Bob,  DOH!
The semi final pass between Dennis Bailey and Bob Dougherty started with almost
identical reaction times.  Bailey with a 60 to Dougherty's 54.  Bailey quickly made up the
difference and ran away from Dougherty who had an off pass and tried running Bailey
down with big MPH but it was a no dice moment.  Sargis, who had just gone out in round
four of the Pro ET Class gave his bike a chance to catch it's breath and just takes the tree
to move into the grand salami round.

SARGIS   .046  RT   9.50  INDEX   9.561 @  137.72
The final round was everything you could have asked for after such a great
turnout.  Well, Larry might argue that one but I digress.   Sargis leaves with a slight
hole shot, Bailey painstakingly reels Sargis in at a snails pace using the entire 1320
to make up the .01 difference on the tree to take the stripe by a hard earned .004
MOV, extremely tight!   Truly a great race.

JULY 11th RESULTS
Yet another great showing boasting the second largest bike count to the previous
day's record.  Again, the racing was a bare knuckle brawl to the finish.  This class is
growing by leaps and bounds and show no sign of slowing down.  Joshua Franklin took
the top spot in qualifying running an awesome 9.502 to lead the field.
TOP TEN QUALIFIERS
1)  JOSHUA FRANKLIN                9.502
2)  ZAC GYZYWA                        9.508
3)  NELSON TAYLOR                  9.509
4)  BRENT MERRICK                   9.511
5)  RON RIPPEL                          9.519
6)  ANDY HENDRICKS                 9.521
7)  TYRONE LEE                         9.542
8)  JOE FRIEDMANSKY               9.551
9)  BOB DOUGHERTY                 9.580
10) JOE MULHERN                      9.591
Into the third round of the race, Zac Grzywa would catch a break when Joe Mulhern
red lit.  Brian Foster of Performance Cycle II fame, got left on by James Hendricks, but
the power of Foster's ride would not be denied as he ran him down like a sled dog
running a 9.58 @ 145 to Hendricks 9.66 @ 137.  Chris Singsime was enjoying a great
day and parked Dennis Bailey who was the previous day's winner.  Like Foster,
Singsime also left second but got to the stripe first for the win.  Bob "where the hell
have you been" Dougherty got schooled by Maurie Misner on the line cutting an .078
to an .026 respectively.  Not like a 78 is terrible by any means but it's difficult to come
up with snappy phrases for 200 laps an event.  Anyway, Misner's bike stumbled mid
track and Dougherty was right there to capitalize on the opportunity and went around
Misner to move on.
Round four, the semi finals.  Bob Dougherty would again leave second to Chris
Singsime but would again power past his competitor and roll out of the gas for the win
to move into the final round.  If I'm not mistaken, this was Singsimes best finish in the
class to date.  Great job!  Brian Foster and Zac "don't ask how to say my last name"
Grzywa were next.  Foster takes the hole shot by almost .08 over Zac.  Not only is that
easier to say, it's also easier to type!  Grzywa's bike has power to spare and he taps
into the big numbers and powers past Foster and tries to back into him in the traps but
breaks out doing so sending Foster to the finals.  Grzywa runs a 9.49 to Foster's 9.60.

DOUGHERTY  .046  RT  9.50  INDEX 9.541 @ 141.06
In the final round Dougherty would now pull out his best light of the day
cutting an .046 to leave on Foster.  Dougherty would hold the lead for about
1319 feet.  Dougherty would back in a little too much and Foster just snuck
past him taking a .004 MOV !!  Both weekends races were decided by .004!
How tough are these racers?  Hardcore Baby !
