JULY 10th RESULTS
Funny how bonus payouts bring out more racers!  Who cares the reason, this
was the biggest field in Super Modified history.  A 16 bike field was set to attack the
quarter mile and Zac Grzwya held top honors running an 8.930 to lead the field.
TOP 10 QUALIFYING ORDER
1)   ZAC GRZWYA                        8.930
2)   DENNIS BAILEY                      8.978
3)   BILL HEYDE                           8.992
4)   JAMES HENDRICKS               9.032
5)   SAM RIECHETT                      9.038
6)   JACK GILBERT                       9.055
7)   BRAD HAISLER                      9.082
8)   STEVE ADAMS                       9.154
9)   PHIL STOLL                           9.230
10) MAURIE MISNER                    9.248
In the semi final round Phil Stoll, driving for Del Flores who made his first trip
out to our dog and pony show, would be taking on James Hendricks.  Hendricks
would jump out in front by a hundred on the tree but the power of Stoll's bike he
was able to regain the lead forcing Hendricks to get into the bottle big time.  It
wouldn't be enough and Stoll would move on running a 9.01 to Hendricks 9.06.
SEMI FINAL ROUND ACTION
In the pair pictured at the left.  Bill
Heyde in the right lane would get
drilled by Dennis Bailey in the right
lane.  However, Heyde would put
together a way smoother pass and run
past Bailey making him play catch up
on the other end.  Bailey would run out
of real estate despite his 146 mph
pass.
BAILEY (L) vs HEYDE (R)
In the final round Phil Stoll on the Del's Performance Cycles entry, would be
taking on Bill Heyde.  Both would be in their first final round in Super Modified.
Heyde would take a huge .07 hole shot over Stoll.  Stoll had more than enough
power to catch Heyde, the problem would be the space he had to do it in.  Knowing
the power in the other lane, Heyde kept his ride lit running 150 mph through the
traps.  Stoll would have to blast around and try to back into him to without breaking
out to win.  Nope, ain't gonna happen.  Stoll breaks out by .03 and Heyde would
take his first win in Super Modified.
FINAL ROUND ACTION

JULY 11th RESULTS
Although a couple of racers were missing on Sunday, the competition was no less
fierce.  Dennis Bailey was again busy making his presence known as he would hit the
8.90 index on the head with a nine and would also be the only one in the eights in
qualifying.  That would have to give you a bit of confidence going into eliminations.  But
again, that's why we do these for real and not on paper or what ever this is you are
reading.
TOP 10 QUALIFYING ORDER
1)   DENNIS BAILEY                     8.909
2)   JOE MULHERN                      9.057
3)   RYAN KAUSAL                      9.068
4)   JAMES HENDRICKS              9.077
5)   DAN MASSINGILL                  9.078
6)   BRAD HAISLER                     9.109
7)   JACK GILBERT                     9.130
8)   STEVE ADAMS                     9.225
9)   SCOTT  HUEUKER               9.503
10) ZAC GRZYWA                     12.366

In the semi final round Joe Mulhern would take on Scott Hueuker.  As there is no
deep stagging in this class, Scott would try the next best thing and that would be to
roll the lights,  problem was he rolled too far and turned off the top bulb and turned
on the red one.  DOH!  Mulhern would advance to face Brad Haisler who would save
his ride the abuse and just take the tree to meet Mulhern in the finals.
ROUND TWO ACTION
HEUEKER(L) vs HOLDEN(R)
REICHETT(L) vs HAISLER(R)
MULHERN(L) vs HENDRICKS(R)
SEMI FINAL ROUND ACITON
MULHERN(L) vs HEUEKER(R)
In the final round, Joe Mulhern would take what turned out to be an insurmountable hole
shot lead over Haisler.  It was only .04, but that was enough to keep Mulhern out front
without breaking out of the 8.90 index.  Both races were after it big time as you can see
they both eclipse the 150 mph mark!
FINAL ROUND ACTION
MULHERN(L) vs HAISLER(R)
MULHERN    .064  RT  8.90 INDEX  9.020 @ 152.33 << WINNER
HAISLER      .108  RT  8.90 INDEX  8.996 @ 151.44
