With six riders pushing the index pretty strongly this class is definitely stepping
up their performances.  To boot, this was also in almost 90 degree heat and
humidity.  Brad Haisler would lead the field into competition running an 8.917 to take
top honors.

DENNIS BAILEY ON BYE RUN
Going into the semi final round.  Dennis Bailey would be taking on Brad Haisler
who was having his way with the class.  Until now.  Both riders cut great lights with
Bailey cutting an .034 to Haisler’s .056.  Bailey however was all over the index
running it with a nine while Haisler could do nothing but try to push him out and
follow through the lights.  James Hendricks would have a bye run and didn't make a
clean run but will move on into the final round.

ROUND TWO ACTION
HAISLER(L)  vs HENDRICKS(R)
BRAIN WADHAMS ON BYE RUN
MULHERN(L)  vs KAUSAL(R)
Third round pairings came down like this.  Joe Mulhern and Brad Haisler, then
Brian Wadhams and Steve Adams.  First was Mulhern and Haisler.  Haisler took a
major .07 holeshot leaving Mulhern to play a tough game of catch up.  Blowing
through the traps Mulhern makes up the difference as Haisler blips the throttle and
lets Mulhern nab the stripe.  Steve Adams, who was hot lapping his bike in two
classes brings his bike to the line with heat glowing off his beautiful blue 14.  Brian
Wadhams cuts a great .035 bulb and Adams doesn't move three feet and starts
spinning.  However, Adams also has a matching blue bottle and gets all over it to try
and run down his competition.  He makes a valiant effort but comes up short and
Wadhams goes to the final round.
The final round was another wire to wire nail biter.  Joe Mulhern would leave
only .015 ahead of Brain Wadhams.  Wadhams wasn't going to let leaving second
keep him from getting back into the lead.  He takes the lead and runs too far
ahead and then tries to back into Mulhern but doesn't scrub off enough ET and
breaks out by only .005!  while Mulhern runs right on with an 8!
