Street Eliminator
Along with Super Stock 9.50 Class, Street Eliminator 10.50 is right on it's heels of popularity. This class runs everything from little guys on 600's to big boys on Busa's. It all comes down to the light and the index. Some new players in the class have stirred the pot and they are pushing some of last years break out riders to step up their game. Almost a perfect mix of new and more experienced racers.

Picking up the action in the semi final round there was Brent Merrick taking on John D’Agostino and Maurie Misner taking on Rob Vick. First out was Merrick and D’Agostino. Merrick took an .04 holeshot and pushed D’Agostino into a double breakout pass with Merrick running 5 under the index to D’ Agostino’s 6 under. Maurie Misner was handed the round when Rob Vick pushed too hard on the tree and went red by a long shot moving Misner into the final round.

In the final Misner took the lead out of the gate but Merrick was right there on his heels pushing toward the stripe. It was a game a see-saw on the throttle as both riders were playing chicken with the finish line trying to push the other out. Again, Merrick came out on top pushing Misner to run 6 under while he kept his a only 4 under the win.

Leading the 18 bike field into eliminations was Bob Wesley. He made a perfect pass hitting the 10.50 class index to the thousandth of a second. While the ET's and speeds might not match up with other classes, the competition and skill some of these guys possess is very impressive. Surely when they want to go a bit quicker they will be a force to be reckoned with.

Round three winners included Joe Friedmansky, Mark Mueller and rider #351 who's info I'm afraid I don't have. Mr. 351 however, did take out the number one qualifier Bob Wesley on a holeshot. Friedmansky took out John Rudnik in a double breakout pass. And Mark Mueller beat himself running a very sweet 10.494 to prep for the semi finals.

In the semi final round Joe Friedmansky would enjoy the best time to get a bye run, into the final round. He ran a 10.513 in doing so and looks good for the big round. Mark Mueller would then have to face Mr. 351. Mueller moves on when Mr. 351 rolls the beams and goes red.

The final round was one of the best of the weekend. Joe Friedmansky and Mark Mueller both left with .001 of each other. Going gear for gear and wheel for wheel the entire 1320 Mueller pushes just this much (my fingers are real close) too hard and breaks out by only inches giving the win to Friedmansky.
