June 26th Results

An unusually small field was present at this event.  The hot and humid conditions made running the number a real challenge for the entire field with the exception on two.  Kurtovic and Robinson both ran a 10.50 with and 8 and a 9 respectively to leave the field scrambling to catch up.

Picking up the race in the semi final round. Brent Merrick would face Elvis Kurtovic.  Merrick would take a slight .02 holeshot leaving Kurtovic playing catch up the entire 1320.  When they flashed through the traps, Merrick would hold off the charging Kurtovic running a 10.618 to Kurtovic's 10.605.  Holeshot victory to Merrick.  John O'Connor would advance on a bye to the final.

In the final round John O'Connor would face Elvis Kurtovic.  O'Connor must have been counting his money or points on the line because he was real late and Merrick enjoyed a tenth of a second holeshot.  O'Connor could do nothing but try and get under the paint but Merrick would have none of it and take the win.
