| 2010 ET CLASS RULES |
| Basic Safety Rules: |
| All motorcycles must pass an IHRA/NHRA tech inspection to compete. All riders who will obtain speeds in excess of 120 mph will require full leathers. All riders who run quicker than 9.99 will be required to has the proper license. This includes Street ET also. |
| Classes: |
| Street ET - No slicks - DOT tires only. No wheelie bars. 70" WB limit. NO sliders or air clutches, no button launching devices - must have clutch lever. Must have working head/ tail lights, they can be after market but must be functional. Must be self starting. Turbo and nitrous are legal. Electric/auto shifters legal. Air shifters legal. You will earn points for the IHRA Team Finals in September. |
| Drag Box - Anything goes in this class. You will earn track points like all other classes. However, you will NOT earn a spot on the IHRA Team for Byron if you run even one round with a box on your bike, functioning or not. Zero tolerance. All box bikes will have an asterisk by the riders points for reference during the season on our site only. The blinders will be up and crosstalk will be on. |
| Drag No Box - Schnitz Pro II, Dyna 4000, DRL 400, MSD Ignition systems are all legal. ANY electronic device added to ANY of these systems which can in anyway delay the release of the two step electronically is illegal. Also, all throttle stops and down track ignition interrupt control devices which have either electronic keypads or adjustable thumb wheels is banned in this class. Dyna shift counters are legal. You will earn track points and you will be qualified for the IHRA Team finals in September. |
| Snowmobiles - Run with either the Box or No Box side of the Drag bike class. This class also earns points towards IHRA Team Finals. |
| Race Procedure: |
| All classes will run within their respective class until only one from each remains. Street vs Street - Box vs Box- No Box vs No Box. At this point all three class reps will toss a coin and the odd man gets the bye into the finals. One class may have to sit one round waiting for a final, however, while sitting you will NOT collect points. You only get points for rounds you stage. Bye runs are drawn at random by track. The bye run stays with you until you use it or lose, then a new bike number will be drawn. AUTO START WILL BE IN EFFECT !! |
| There will be two time runs before eliminations. There are also buy backs available after first round, but no points are earned from that point on. All buy backs run against each other in their respective classes and the winners go into third round when it is called. |
| Dial Ins: |
| All dial-ins must be legibly displayed on the LEFT side of each entry. It is the riders responsibility to check the score board for accuracy. If you stage on the wrong dial-in, you own it -- end of story. Any one caught changing their dial-in after leaving the head of staging lanes will be disqualified. Anyone changing their dial-in while going to the water is DQ'd. |
| Bike Numbers: |
| This is becoming a bigger problem as racers enter multiple classes. Your number MUST go with YOU, regardless of what bike you ride. You can NOT race under somebody else's number to earn points for them. If you race another bike and don't put your number on that bike, you will NOT earn any points for that race. We have tried to address this issue in the past and no one seems to understand the major problems they create in tracking points. Now, racers don't get their points, they will get the point ! |
| Points: |
| 2 Points for entering; 1 point for each round win. No points are awarded after a Buy Back. |
